Acustadek® (Acoustical Roof Deck)

Acustadek combines the design flexibility and strength of steel deck with high sound absorption qualities to offer an economical system for attenuating sound. Acustadek provides the beauty of exposed steel, while providing the same noise reduction performance of common Mineral Fiber, Fiberglass, and Bio Acoustic ceiling tile systems. It is an excellent option for reducing noise inside buildings, and increasing the comfort for the occupants. Acustadek is a dual-purpose panel which helps lower costs by providing an interior finish while contributing to the structural performance of the building. Acustadek features partially perforated (known as web) or total perforated deck.

Web perforated deck is accomplished by perforating the ribs of the structural steel deck and adding fiberglass batt acoustic media in between these ribs (known as webs) to improve sound absorption. Total perforated deck perforates the entire decking sheet to provide increased sound absorption qualities, but sacrifices greater structural performance.

Acustadek is available across various ASC Steel Deck profiles including B Deck, N Deck, and Deep Deck.

Available Configurations

DGB-36AT by ASC Steel Deck on Sketchfab

ASC Steel Deck's B Deck profile (36" coverage) with web or total perforated options for installation with ASC Steel Deck's Delta Grip DG4 system, standard button punch, or top seam welds. Key configurations include:

  • DGB-36AW (Web Perforation, Delta Grip DG4 attached)
  • B-36AW (Web Perforation)
  • DGB-36AT (Total Perforation, Delta Grip DG4 attached)
  • B-36AT (Total Perforation)

Acustadek is available in 16-22 gauge steel with a G90 galvanized metallic coating. Not available with prime painted (prime shield) material. See B Deck product page for profile dimensions.

Each fiberglass batt is 1.5” x 1.75” x 48” (1.6lb density), requiring 50 batts per square. Non-cellular Acustadek batts are shipped directly the vendor to the customer or jobsite.
