ASC Steel Deck x Hilti Profis DF
ASC Steel Deck is proud to announce that our roof and floor products are now available in the newest version of Hilti Profis DF Diaphragm to be selected and used for customized diaphragm calculations on your next projects.
Hilti Profis DF Diaphragm is a free software package available to download online. This PC software has been developed to run customizable diaphragm calculations with Hilti support connections and Hilti sidelap connections. In addition, this software helps designers to select a cost-effective fastening solution for steel deck diaphragms. ASC Steel Deck profiles are now available to be selected in Profis DF Diaphragm. A list of the profiles available are as below:
- ASC Steel Deck – Roof Deck: ASC N-32, ASC NN-32, ASC 2WH-36, and ASC 3WxH-36.
- ASC Steel Deck – Floor Deck: ASC NH-32, ASC NHN-32, ASC 2WH-36, ASC 2WHS-36, ASC 3WxH-36, and ASC 3WxHS-36
It is important to mention that Hilti Profis DF Diaphragm is per IBC 2018 and backend calculations are supported following ICC-ES ESR 2776. (Link to report) In addition, footnotes under Table 7 of this report indicate the diaphragm shear capacity limitations which occur with strong sidelaps in combination with greater support connection patterns.
