Hilti PROFIS Engineering Diaphragm Design x ASC Steel Deck

Hilti PROFIS Engineering Diaphragm Design is a web-based software available online as part of the PROFIS Engineering Suite of software launched in September 2023. This web-based software has been developed to run customizable diaphragm calculations with Hilti support connections and Hilti sidelap connections. In addition, this software helps designers to select a cost-effective fastening solution for steel deck diaphragms. ASC Steel Deck profiles are now available to be selected in Hilti PROFIS Engineering Diaphragm Design. A list of the profiles available are below:

• ASC Steel Deck – Roof Deck:  ASC N-32, ASC NN-32, ASC 2WH-36, and ASC 3WxH-36
• ASC Steel Deck – Floor Deck:  ASC NH-32, ASC NHN-32, ASC 2WH-36, ASC 2WHS-36, ASC 3WxH-36, and ASC 3WxHS-36

It is important to mention that Hilti PROFIS Engineering Diaphragm Design follows IBC 2021 and backend calculations are supported by ICC ESR-2197, ESR-2776, and ESR-3693. The diaphragm shear capacity limitations which occur with strong sidelaps in combination with greater support connection patterns are now addressed by Hilti PROFIS Engineering Diaphragm Design.
